Kakato® Title Sponsor the Peak to Fong Dog Fun Fundraising Day 2024

Kakato has always upheld the philosophy of “Respect Lives ‧ Be Kind to Animals” and is committed to promoting a harmonious society in Hong Kong where humans and pets coexist. As the title sponsor of the “Peak to Fong Dog Fun Fundraising Day 2024,” we are delighted to contribute to this meaningful event for our furkids.

On 24 November 2024, the fundraising event organised by Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR) was successfully held and attracting over 500 dog lovers, including artists like Leung Yong-ting, Kan Miu Wah, Hsu Yi-lung, and Cheung Ming-wai. Many participants even brought their dogs along for the walk from Peak Galleria to Lan Kwai Fong. Although singer Lin Ka-hin could not attend in person, he sent his adopted dog Waffle from HKDR to support the event in spirit.

Since its establishment, HKDR has successfully rescued over 10,000 dogs and found new homes for more than 6,000 of them. As a non-profit organization, HKDR relies entirely on various fundraising activities and the support of kind-hearted individuals. Currently, they have about 600 dogs across two bases, and they adhere to a “no-kill” philosophy, ensuring that every rescued dog receives lifelong care, even if a suitable adoptive family cannot be found.
